held its wellness fair on March 8 with 天博体育care District as a sponsor. The event helped link more than 200 attendees with local organizations and needed resources, including health, education, housing and employment services.

Rongzhan Xu, outreach coordinator for 天博体育鈥檚 Chinese Health Initiative (CHI), was on hand to provide information and answer questions. CHI serves Chinese community members through culturally tailored programs and events, such as a diabetes prevention program and emotional well-being resources, as well as a Chinese-speaking physician referral network to help Chinese community members access healthcare professionals who speak their language.

Xu distributed a newly created emotional well-being guide in English and Chinese, as well as a health resource guide specifically for Chinese seniors in Santa Clara County who may have language barriers and need support navigating the healthcare system.

Other 天博体育 staff serving at the event included Joy Tobin, Health Library & Resource Center and Cornel Delogramatic, MD, Health Equity and Clinical Integrity.

鈥淎ttendees included young families with their children, older adults and a diverse community,鈥 noted Tobin. 鈥淭he attendees were very interested in obtaining information about services that are available to them. Clearly, Sunnyvale Community Services is making a big difference in this community for the better by providing health fairs like this, healthy food and so many other resources.鈥

Community Benefit partner Sunnyvale Community Services helps keep people housed and fed in Santa Clara County鈥檚 second-largest city. The organization helps about 10,000 people each year with emergency financial aid, food and other supportive services.
